Hi I’m Kim, I teach Pilates classes in Aldeburgh, Harleston, Walpole and Diss
I have been teaching classes for 9 years. I feel Pilates keeps me moving, healthy and along with my swimming and running generally fit.
I attended Pilates classes taught by Julie Mower for several years. My personal aim was to strengthen muscles, affected by a car accident I had as a teenager, which led to back and knee pain. The things I learned at the Pilates class resonated with me and helped me incorporate the principles into my everyday life and be primarily pain free. Knowing I had benefited through regular participation and practice I decided to train to become an instructor. I qualified in 2007 and joined the team at Pilates East Anglia.
My biggest reward through teaching is the feedback from participants such as; ‘I’m able to move more freely’ and ‘I like the sense of flexibility in my body and relaxation for my mind’. I enjoy being part of that experience with them and through it we learn and discover together.
In my sessions I try to include functional movement so it relates to everyday tasks. We always have a focus and my aim is to guide and enable someone’s individual journey to gain awareness of and learn about their body to promote good habits.
